Nestled in the heart of Croyde, Sole Bay is a stunning four-bedroom house with a large garden, which can sleep up to six adults and two children. A comfortable home away from home, it is the perfect destination for a memorable getaway with family or friends. Located less than a five-minute walk from the village’s shops, pubs and restaurants and in easy reach of the beach, this is the ideal base from which to explore Croyde and the neighbouring Saunton and Putsborough.

Nestled in the heart of Croyde, Sole Bay is a stunning four-bedroom house with a large garden, which can sleep up to six adults and two children. A comfortable home away from home, it is the perfect destination for a memorable getaway with family or friends. Located less than a five-minute walk from the village’s shops, pubs and restaurants and in easy reach of the beach, this is the ideal base from which to explore Croyde and the neighbouring Saunton and Putsborough.

On the ground floor of Sole Bay is the large, bright modern kitchen with integrated appliances, including a fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob and dishwasher. A combi washer-dryer is located in the cupboard under the stairs. The kitchen table seats four people and there is additional seating for two at the stylish breakfast bar.

Just off the kitchen is the mezzanine bedroom. A ladder leads up to a snug ship’s cabin style double bed (not suitable for children under fourteen, due to safety reasons). Open the Velux window above the bed and you can sometimes hear owls hooting in the nearby fields as you fall asleep. The contemporary ensuite shower room has a luxurious rain shower. This room can also be accessed via its own private entrance from the garden, which is convenient if you are returning from a swim or a surf and want to shower.
The spacious living area has comfy sofas and a log burner, and is just the place to unwind and watch a film or play a boardgame. The patio doors lead out to the bright and airy conservatory. The dining table comfortably seats eight and is a wonderful spot for evening meals and BBQs.
Upstairs, there are two large double bedrooms looking out over the front of the house, with king-size beds and ample storage space.  There is also a cosy bunk room, with two children’s bunk beds, which overlooks the garden. Each bedroom has access to a newly fitted, modern family bathroom with a large bath and overhead rain-shower.
The sunny garden with a large willow tree can be accessed from the conservatory, mezzanine room and the shared archway to the side of the house. There is a spacious terraced seating area with a table and chairs, perfect for al-fresco dining and a BBQ is provided (guests must supply their own charcoal). The sloped lawn is a great place for children to play.
There is no parking at the property or on the road directly in front — this has been reflected in the price of the accommodation, and a reduction in line with the local village car parking tariff has been applied to the rental rate. There is a car park just 160 metres from the house at the Village Hall.

Sole Bay offers guests a home-away-from-home with spacious and comfortable accommodation and proximity to all the local amenities. With several fabulous local pubs nearby, you’ll be able to indulge in a variety of delicious, seasonal meals and local beer before enjoying pleasant strolls down to the picturesque sandy beach.
Whether you choose to explore the beautiful village, walk around Baggy Point, surf or relax on the sandy beach or go further afield and uncover the hidden gems of North Devon, Sole Bay offers you the chance to relax, unwind and enjoy the fresh sea air.
