Barton Rock is a beautifully converted barn just on the edge of West Down and only a short 10-minute drive from the award-winning beach of Woolacombe.
The property overlooks the rural countryside and has been designed to provide a social yet spacious living. Barton Rock is a custom interior designed, providing elegant open-plan living space, making it the perfect venue for large groups and families.

Open Plan Kitchen/ Dinning/ Living:
The property hosts a modern, contemporary décor, with sliding doors leading onto the large patio area. The kitchen is well equipped with all the essentials and there are two fridges alongside a large indoor seating area.
A large corner sofa provides a comfortable and relaxed area to unwind, overlooked by a large mounted 60” TV. Surround lighting and a large log burner also provides a cosier feel for those slightly chillier Devon nights.
Behind the kitchen is a useful utility/boot room that houses a drinks fridge and freezer as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer. The large downstairs wet room is perfect when returning from muddy walks or surfing.
Private terrace garden:
Open up the sliding patio doors from the open plan living area and you’ll find a great outdoor space, with a large table for alfresco dining accompanied by a large barrelled charcoal BBQ.
To the corner of the patioed area there is a 6-man hot tub that will be available on your request with views overlooking the beautiful Devon countryside.
Bedrooms:
With four spectacular large en-suite bedrooms, Barton Rock is a holiday sensation. The bedrooms have been designed with comfort in mind without giving up a modern and contemporary feel.
Three of the four bedrooms can either be made into twins or Super Kings (please request upon booking your preferred bed configuration). The master bedroom is accompanied by spectacular countryside views from the Juliet balcony or from the roll topped bath in the beautifully designed en-suite.
You can’t help but be impressed with Barton Rock’s glamour and style.
Games Room:
On the middle level is an impressive landing with a games room that contains a sofa bed perfect for the 9th/ 10th guest. The games room houses a football table, an Xbox as well as lots of games to keep the children occupied.
Parking:
The Property is approached by an elevated private driveway from the main road. Providing ample of parking for up to 5 cars outside the house.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole property, with no ‘live in’ owner.
Other things to note
Bed linen and towels will be provided and freshly laundered prior to your arrival. A travel cot and highchair can also be provided upon your request.
Check in is from 16:00 and check out is before 10:00.
Well behaved dogs are welcome with an additional charge. Please note all dogs need to be kept on the ground floor.
We have a great relationship with other companies in the Woolacombe/Croyde area and have put together a comprehensive guide with our recommendations from pubs to surf schools. We can also arrange certain activities for you such as surfing lessons with leading surf schools and professional sponsored surf instructors, coasteering and horse riding lessons.

Well, what an amazing house! Huge place for 6 people including a toddler and set in beautiful countryside. Superb amenities with a lovely hot tub. The house was very clean with quality linen and towels etc. Close to beaches, pubs, shops and cinema – what more could anyone want!?
