LUXURY 2 BED PROPERTY - Saunton

Wake up to the sound of birds singing and the stillness of the countryside in this stunning barn that sits in a small hamlet just a few minutes drive from Saunton Sands Beach.  

You will also find the prestigious 36 hole championship golf course a few miles up the road; and in the other direction the shops, cafes and restaurants in the charming village of Braunton. With Croyde just around the headland and the beaches of Woolacombe and Putsborough just a short drive away, this Barn’s location is enviable.  With the long, sandy stretches of beach, crashing surf, miles of beautiful coastal paths and cycle routes to explore, this is the perfect North Devon destination for the quintessential seaside holiday. After long days of exploring, bathing and surfing, return to Croyde Barn to watch the sunset over Braunton Burrows and Saunton Sands Beach. 

As you enter Croyde barn you’re welcomed with a homely feeling with a wonderful entrance hallway. Plenty of space to kick off your sandy shoes and drop your beach bags. Leading off the hallway is the newly fitted kitchen / diner. The kitchen has all the essentials you’ll need to cook up a delicious feast for you and your party members. 

Just off the kitchen is the living area with a smart tv and plenty of seating for everyone to relax after a long day at the beach or chill day around the pool (open May – October). 

After long days exploring our coast line, you’ll get a restful night’s sleep in our spacious  updated bedrooms — offering comfy beds and crisp linens and a peaceful atmosphere. The large twin room with two twin beds and a trundle bed (ideal for children under 12) is located on the ground floor off the hallway. You also have a shower room on the ground floor, this is perfect for kids or even family members with restricted mobility and wont need the worry of getting up and down the stairs. 

You will find a useful utility room off the hallway with a washing machine and tumble dryer so rest assured you’ll be finishing your holiday with clean and dry clothes to take home. 

The lovely master is on the first floor and has a double-sized bed and plenty of storage for all your belongings. 

Throw the window open wide and let in the scents and sounds of the countryside while enjoying morning coffee from the comfort of the cosy bed. 

A second bathroom is also on the first floor making it feel like the first floor is your own private wing of the cottage. The first floor bathroom has everything you’ll need to have a relaxing bath after a long day walking around the coastline.

Outside is a shared courtyard with our other two bed property, Puts Barn. We provide  a bistro dining table, seating and BBQ area for both cottages. This area is a perfect place to sit and eat breakfast in the mornings or unwind at the end of the day.  

There is also secure storage onsite for bicycles and a covered area for surf equipment and wetsuits.

Follow the signs up the path to the spacious communal garden where you’ll find a children’s play area and seating to enjoy the stunning elevated views. At the bottom of the garden you’ll discover the large, heated swimming pool. Securely fenced, the pool is open to all guests from 8am – 8pm/dusk between May – October. 

Please note no lifeguards are on duty, children must be supervised by an adult at all times. If an emergency arises, you’ll find the safety float on the fence at the bottom end of the pool as well as a first aid kit. Call 999 for assistance if an emergency does arise.  

Being able to have your own vehicle with you on holiday is just one of the benefits of the staycation. With so many of us trying to be ‘greener’, the rise of electric vehicles is very much on the go.

 Luckily, South Lobb Cottages has installed an EV charging point, so you can sleep soundly knowing your car will be charged and ready for the next day’s adventures.

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole property, with no ‘live in’ owner.

Other things to note
Bed linen and towels will be provided and freshly laundered prior to your arrival. 

A travel cot and highchair can also be provided upon your request.
Check in is from 16:00 and check out is before 10:00.
